Helpful Hints
A special dial tone lets you know there is a message in your mailbox.
When you pick up your telephone receiver, you will hear a Special Dial Tone. That unusual tone, which sounds like a slowed busy signal, will tell you there are new messages. If there is no special dial tone, you do not have new messages.
Skipping through voice instructions.
Once familiar with VoiceMail, you can press a key as soon as you know what you want to do. You do not need to listen to all the voice instructions. You can move as quickly through the menu as you like.
Callers familiar with your call answering can bypass your greeting.
Once callers become familiar with your VoiceMail, they can quickly move through your greeting and leave a message. You can indicate in your personal greeting to press * to bypass the greeting. For example, "This is John Smith. Please leave a message and I will return your call. The next time you call, press * to bypass my greeting. You'll be able to leave your message immediately."
Ensure that your entire message is heard.
When recording your greeting, remember to pause briefly at the end of your greeting. This will ensure that your entire message is recorded.
Saving VoiceMail Messages
